These are the most challenging times for early-career scientists and engineers.

My team is doing its bit to help by maintaining and even expanding our database of funding opportunities for early-career researchers.

We found 437 of them.

This is Luna. She didn't realize you were planning on wearing that outside of the house. 13/10
a gray italian greyhound wearing a thick, brown fleece turtleneck sits in a car. she looks at you with large brown eyes and a grimace. her teeth bared in embarrassment and maybe even disgust. for some reason her fashion advice holds so much weight.

Speak up! Important to register widespread opposition to transitioning NIH to funding ideologically-motivated science. If you want advancements in knowledge and eventual cures, it is critical that research is steered by knowledgeable scientists, not political appointees

Please consider making a public comment opposing the possibility of making NIH directors, program officers, and other staff (e.g. SRO, GMS) political appointees. This only took me ~90 seconds. Please repost. Thanks 👍

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

Must watch speech by neuroscientist Kailyn Price at a HHS rally protesting funding cuts to science.

"Cutting indirect costs is like telling a football team to work with only the players.

No lights for the field, no physical therapists for the players, no water for the showers."

Thanks to all of the NIHers and their friends who reached out to me. I am still here (DM me or Signal jeremymberg.78)

I still have a very incomplete picture but based on what I have been told, the damage to NIH and to many wonderful people who work(ed) there is/was impossible for me to imagine
