i'd go even further and say there is a reason even nixon kept this kind of stuff to himself. you would have to go back quite a bit to find a point at which is acceptable for a president to say anything like this *in public*, to say nothing of in the oval office.

It’s a great book!
I’m reading the US history book from @petridishes.bsky.social where she enhances or just makes up “Important American Documents”. This section has Hamilton, Jay, and Madison adding a throughline plot with cliffhangers to the Federalist Papers so people will keep coming back to read the next one 🤣🤣🤣
