Species of interest. Alopecosa barbipes is a strikingly-marked wolf spider, widespread in the UK - srs.britishspiders.org.uk/portal.php/p.... Adults can be seen throughout the year, mostly on heathland or rough grassland. On sandy soils they can be abundant, and they can bury themselves in the sand.

i need to figure out what to do with the two tigrosa helluo i was given. i'd like to keep one, but it's too cold to release the other. they're about 1.5", so if i release them inside they'll probably be found. if i keep them to release in warmer weather, i might end up just keeping them 😅

i also found these two cuties at work tonight! i'm not totally sure what the first is yet, but the second seems to be an american nursery web spider (pisaurina mira). a few new ones to mark in my identification book! 😊 #spider
