Its so hard but we HAVE to stuff our ears when the cynics start spewing, or when someone unthinkingly expresses their grief and sorrow as as an objective inevitability.

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

I follow @hcrichardson.bsky.social closely. She has told us time and again that throughout US history the only thing that's ever worked is the general public making lots of noise. She tells us to take up oxygen in the room, protest in the streets, contact congress, letters to editors, run 4 office.
