Former writer man (JoBlo, Collider, etc.), current teacher man. Just trying to find a sane place with a lack of fascists and an abundance of dog content.
Literally the barest of minimums — but good riddance to his thrift-shop -Lockjaw ass anyway.
BREAKING Greg Bovino has been removed as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to El Centro Calif, where he is expected to retire soon. A stunning turnaround after Pretti killing. Bovino's traveling blue city crackdown is over www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

Real bummer when the most exciting part of this Patriots Broncos game is snow.

Was just thinking about this scene the other day, so indeed this take is 1000% correct
There's one foolproof way to gauge whether someone is a millennial or a zoomer: Ask them how they learned the difference between Iceland and Greenland.

If the answer is from D2: The Mighty Ducks, you're talking to a millennial. Otherwise, zoomer.

This alone would lead to impeachment for literally any other president — as it should. For Trump it’s Friday.
President Trump bought more than $1 million worth of corporate bonds from Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery only weeks after the media giants announced a $83 billion merger deal that could reshape Hollywood.
Trump bought $1M in Netflix, Warner Bros. bonds after merger announcement
The president bought the bonds days after saying he’d be “involved” in deciding whether to approve the $83 billion deal.’

If there’s a better obituary for an evil cartoonist than an A.I. generated version of his character that fucks up the defining detail of its design, I can’t think of it. No notes. 👨🏻‍🍳 💋

Figured the Golden Globe would go to “Golden”, but it’s a real shame that all the tremendous original music in SINNERS essentially has to go up against this year’s “Let it Go”.

Gotta love a trailer for a movie that has one character describing the lead character as “a ghost” within the first 8 seconds!

It’s amazing the game the Panthers have been dragging themselves through, and are only 3 down and arguably going into halftime the hotter team of the two.

Shame that so much of Marvels resources have been aimed at churning out SO much across theaters and streaming that it’s all become one big super-powered, homogenous blob. They have no standout characters or storyline that now their only move is to harken back to all-to-recent time when they did.
RDJ, Evans, and others returning is symptomatic of Marvel's struggles to make the post-Endgame characters stick. But it hasn't helped that so many of them have had only one appearance. I know some of this is due to Covid and the strikes, but it's bizarre there wasn't a Shang-Chi sequel, for instance

After watching The Odyssey trailer I realized it’s both impressive and a shame that Nolan was able to film a sprawling, big-budget adaptation of the epic while Barbie 2 is still years away. I have no doubt “Barbenheimer” would’ve looked like child’s play compared to “The Barbyssey.”

Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.

Rob Reiner’s work is a cornerstone in developing my understating of what movies could be. At a young age Stand By Me and Misery broke the mold of my Disney-cartoon-fueled brain, and Spinal Tap completely redefined forever what I found funny. Absolutely gutted by this loss.

Love my Seahawks but didn’t think I would have to watch a Vikings game in order to get my touchdown fix for the day…

Look I know the majority of awards circles have always done this thing where they bestow awards on movies & filmmakers who just barely meet or clear expectations set on them, but I refuse to believe these organizations didn’t see better movies this year than AVATAR 3, WICKED FOR GOOD and BUGONIA.

This is why money is not indicative of intelligence or value: the world’s richest man and the world’s most over-paid radio host are having their minds blown over the fact that world’s most over-valued tech can make increasingly vulgar jokes.
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

Got out of WICKED: FOR GOOD, and my biggest takeaway is that it’s kind of a bummer this is still a lock for a Best Picture nomination.

Guillermo del Toro on wealth: "a wealthy man is a man who has enough, not a man that needs more. If you have enough to invite someone for a beer? You're rich. If you have a yacht, planes, islands, and you still need more? You're not rich."

Trees rule. Plant more trees.
According to the City of Paris, in the last 10 years 150K trees have been planted & 45ha of parks created in the already hot city, all intended to not only improve quality-of-life today, but also help the city adapt to & manage summer heatwaves of 50℃ (122F) by 2050.

Just the start.

Common sense.
