Definitely there is some projection here. What is projection? A defense mechanism that involves unconsciously attributing one's own thoughts, feelings, or behaviors onto another person or group. The lies cover up the projection.

As a prostate cancer survivor, I want to say: Begin PSA tests in your 40s, and continue well past your 70s. Too many conflicting guidelines out there, for a variety of reasons.
It's just a blood test.
