Apropos of nothing in particular this morning, I've been told that, in essence, there are two things that physicians can't do at the White House medical unit: MRIs and surgeries. Virtually anything else can be done there if you have to or want to.

It simply should not be possible for the president to repeatedly claim that a major city is burning without a wall of live standups happening in that city clearly demonstrating that it is not

American broadcast journalism has utterly failed and is a dead industry, there's nothing left worth saving

Not just Trump. We have an entire political party supporting this facade of reality, each having rehearsed and memorized their lines for so long to support the biggest gaslighting grift ever that they now live in that altered reality - all character actors living their roles.

You should not control a nuclear arsenal if you cannot tell the difference between fiction and reality. The story needs to be told through the lens of mental illness

Trump has gone totally mad. It's 25th Amendment time all day, every day. He's living in a totally invented, fictional world. And he's old and in ill-health.

It's outrageous, reckless, choose your word that Republicans haven't done more to deal with this.

If a kid lied all the time but everyone in his life devoted themselves to making them true or at least finding some sliver of truth in the lies, he wouldn’t exactly be motivated to stop.

Trump: "Portland, I mean -- every time I look at that place it's burning down. There are fires all over the place. When a store -- there are very few of them left -- but when a store owner rebuilds a store they build it out of plywood. They don't put up storefronts anymore. They just put wood up."

New piece from @radiofreetom.bsky.social answers the question: What does “nothingburger” have to do with
“utterly embarrassing”
“not okay”
“more confused”
“lost in the halls of history”
“usual grievances, lies, and misrepresentation”
“obsessions”
&
“unhinged”

It’s….sobering and also a great read
The Commander in Chief Is Not Okay

Trump: "The restaurants were all closing, now you can't get into a restaurant. They're opening up new restaurants. It took 12 days for us. We sent in not politically correct military. We sent them in based on merit."

The president says there are very few stores left in Portland, Oregon, and the ones that are left are made of plywood.

I know we’re numb to this, but in any other time he’d have been removed by the 25th Amendment by now

Some of what you just said applies here as well - guys dressing up and playing a part. This also isn’t the type of experimental design that needs a control group. In 1971 it was groundbreaking and what was learned fits the time we are in.

I’m struggling with this issue….is it a stigma against mental health? A lack of knowledge? A discomfort with talking about serious (yet functional) mental illness

Definite observable mental health issues. I am 100% convinced of this based on hundreds of hours of watching him and my clinical expertise. Thank you for stating this clearly!

"We have a madman who's unwell in the WH...Trump has to be part of any deal here too. If he's unwell, that's something Dems need to point out to say, 'This is why we can't trust an agreement with these guys'"
