Been to York today for a meet up with a daughter and a bit of buying from a few places.
(Eg: new socks from M&S, and s bottle of salted caramel "Pudding Rum" from the market).
Imagine my delight when just before my train home pulled in, this beauty turned up, just as I came out of the waiting room.

Swung by The Book Loft in Berwick-upon-Tweed on Saturday afternoon to pick up a book I'd ordered when they first opened.
Seems they were having the official opening party!

Picked up the joannechocolat.bsy.social book I ordered from the new, small, but perfectly formed bookshop (The Book Loft) in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Also seemed to coincide with their official opening party, so I got a free Dostoyevsky too!

Hafla night. Much fun has been had with like-minded people. Someone has actually taken a back view shot of me that I like! (I'm nearest the camera).

45 minute drive home up the A1 in pouring rain was a bit of a mare, though...

Another fair - another Staffordshire figure (the smaller one), although the dealer's label says it's Scottish - it could be.
Having blacksmith ancestors does prompt me into some odd purchases...

Is just after 8am a tad early for the window cleaner..?

I think the temperature may have dropped during the night...
It's Grade 2 listed, so I can't just replace it with a modern unit, but it has the original wooden shutters, which I use, and a very long pair of heavy curtains.
All my front windows are the same, but I don't use the downstairs shutters.
