Ahmed al Ahmed, the man who tackled one of the Bondi killers, became an Australian citizen 3 years ago.

His deed was "his way of conveying his gratitude for staying in Australia, for being granted citizenship."

He took 5 bullets, and fears he'll lose his left arm.

My copy of @ianstephenson.bsky.social's "A Relaxing Christmas" album has arrived today, and I'm currently loafing on the sofa after a hectic first half of the day, bathed in oh so smooth and soothing soft guitar, bass and piano sounds, with a bit of soft perc.

MMMM!

I have such wonderful neighbours!
I hate asking for help (being an independent minded (stubborn) old crone, but after I had bleated on fb this morning about having to shift a dryer from the top of my washer so the new one could go in on Thursday, they came round and sorted it in 10 mins flat!

Just so we're clear, one incident of alleged anti-semitism by a musician = a major national scandal that should be roundly condemned.

Multiple incidents of alleged anti-semitism from the man leading the race to run the country = a load of nothing that should be completely ignored

I see an article on BBC news website giving more names from the Epstein photos .
On a Bluesky message it mentions Farage !
Funny how BBC did not include him in their article ??

Further pre-Christmas expense, the day after forking out for a new washer: the cat's not well.
£85 and a 30 mile round trip this morning.
Hopefully she's going to pick up. She's currently skulking under my dance costume rail, out of sight, and has completely lost her appetite.

That’s now 22 ex-Tory MPs in the Reform ranks.

The same names and faces that broke your public services - now under Nigel Farage’s umbrella.

Having recovered from forking out last month for a scaffold and work on my chimney, roof, and house front, this evening, I've had to order a new washing machine - which won't be delivered for a week.
I now have to find a way of relocating the dryer that sits on top for when it arrives...

Farage says, "I didn't wear them (masks) last time, and I won't wear them this time" and dismisses mask mandates as "rubbish".

Here's Farage in 2020.

Man's a dangerous idiot.

Reform UK councillor slapped with a £40,000 fine for hiring an illegal worker. 🤔

So much for "taking back control", apparently the rule is: deport them… but only after we’ve squeezed some cheap labour out of them.

A masterclass in hypocrisy!

Interesting what Crick notes.

Farage like Mogg and Johnson are really just grown up versions of their teenage selves. Lots of public school boys leave fully formed - and armed with an entitlement and a sense of empowerment that takes them through the rest of their lives.
On why Farage doesn’t apologise for his schoolboy racism:
“if he apologised, he would be turning to his own support base and saying, ‘You’re all guilty too.’ ”
Exactly.
He is racist. So are his voters. He can’t be pissing them off by saying sorry.

75% of *all* Reform donations *ever* have come from just three rich men

Hope nobody looks inside my car: there's a mannequin torso wrapped in black bin bags laid on the back seat.
Looks a tad like I've been up to no good.
It's a prop for the current performance, which I will be glad to get back into my shed (aka sewing and craft room).

The strangest part of life is how loneliness can exist in a world so hyperconnected. You scroll past thousands of people a day, but it still feels like no one’s really there. We built a society that rewards productivity more than community, and the emotional failure is everywhere. We deserve better.
