I've been wanting to get a nice shot of our photogenic buck. This buck showed up towards the end of the rut season and seemingly won?! His doe was about 20ft away and they travelled together.

A Back-backed Woodpecker (male) forages away on a red pine, as pieces of bark and snow go flying.

Black-backed Woodpeckers are usually found in the north, especially in burned out forests. Lucky for me, this guy was a few minutes from home.
