I also feel like . . . I don’t need someone like that following me! For those accounts, if I choose to follow, it’s pretty clear to me that I’m a member of an audience. Not a friend. And that’s ok. I’m not friends with every author I read either!

On Twitter, I always had to be ready to defend even the smallest thought or opinion and to cuss strangers smooth out for trying me out of nowhere. Neither of those things happens in real life. I think after a while, that app brought the worst out of us.
