I have to say, as someone who came here from That Other Site, I get the jokes, but I also feel real sadness at the thought of it disappearing. I learned a lot from the bird app, and encountered so many people who I never would have otherwise. I hate that one dumb billionaire can ruin that for us.

My hot take for the day (which is not very hot and also will be seen by no one on here) is that we, as a society, need to practice minding our own business a lot more than we do.

My Thanksgiving featured one of my cousins getting engaged, and another announcing a new baby on the way. My big contribution to the day was the reveal that I’ve been reading Dorothy Sayers’s theology for fun. Clearly, all is going well.

Nearly impossible to choose just one, but C. S. Lewis has been wildly formative for my interests, tastes, writing, and imagination. I came to Narnia first, but his Space Trilogy is also excellent, and Til We Have Faces is absolutely mindbogglingly spectacular!
