Do you know I've got a poetry collection coming out next year? & you can preorder it? (Some links below, but you can preorder worldwide.)

Like tarot cards, witchy things, feminist rage (think Taylor's "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" & Fleetwood's "Silver Springs."), & mythology? You're in luck.

Art isn’t a vending machine.

You can’t put a coin in and push a magic button and get a poem.

You wouldn’t call a candy bar a gourmet, Michelin meal.

Art takes time, work, and practice.

It takes mistakes and passion and almost always a few tears.

Make it yourself or bugger off.

Yikes. The Latino-owned businesses in Mercado Central in Minneapolis report a 90% dip in business since the major influx of federal agents into Minnesota. This is where I’d go to get my Mexican groceries and my pozole fix when I lived in the Twin Cities

There’s a poem rattling around my brain, and I hope to write it tomorrow.

Would you like to read to poems? Are you nominating for the Rhysling, Hugos, or Nebulas?

I’ve got links in thread for you! I’m really proud of the work I did last year, especially the poem I cowrote with @kambriel.com !

ICE is upset that ICE isn't welcome in restaurants after ICE ordered food at a restaurant, ate it, then arrested restaurant employees, and ICE believes this is someone else's fault, do I have that right?

Did my calls again, citing the recent Homan interview. Couldn't get through to one senator (mailboxes are full, phones were busy), but left a message for the other one.

Call.

Trying very hard to focus while I have a ghastly tension headache.

It hurts so much that I didn't even realize I was hungry.

I am very much a "check on my people" person. I'm a "text me when you get there/home" person. I'm a "just checking in" person.

Because care is important. And caring out loud, especially these days, matters.

Several things this week have made me feel lucky as hell, even amid the horrors.

Consider this a reminder that the people in your life will make you feel rich as hell.

And I am very, very lucky.

and if they want an arm and a leg to titer you, just get another - I've had it like 4 times because we used to have it as a requirement to attend college and I had trouble getting my old records.
Fun fact: if you were born in the 80s, they only recommended ONE MMR shot, not two which is now the standard.

Get your titers checked, darlings!

#Minneapolis We’re still here and they’re still here, kidnapping our neighbors, harassing small business owners, forcing people to hide out of fear, threatening activists. Rearranging the deckchairs won’t fix that. End ICE. Impeach Noem and Miller. We have to stop them NOW.
