Pretty much ANY statistic you see cited to frighten you about vaccines comes from the VAERS database. (Including the recent evidence-free missive from Vinay Prasad). Here's why VAERS can NEVER be a proper source for population-level vaccine risk estimates.

It’s widely known (and, I think, pretty uncontroversial) that learning requires effort — specifically, if you don’t have to work at getting the knowledge, it won’t stick.

Even if an LLM could be trusted to give you correct information 100% of the time, it would be an inferior method of learning it.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

The Ontario government: every student needs to learn to code and use technology!

Also the Ontario government: We can’t waste money by giving school boards money to buy technology for students to use.

Let’s all take a moment to read about the 1930’s Tariffs and how they worsened the Great Depression and made life unaffordable.

We teach history so that we don’t have to repeat our mistakes.

Toronto parents have to pay full daycare fees instead of $10/day because the Province cancelled thousands of school-based daycare spots! They want private operators, not non-profit ones. Note how the Ford government hid from this interview. www.thestar.com/life/most-pr... #topoli #onpoli
Most provinces have dropped daycare costs to $10/day. Why are some Toronto parents still paying full fees?
For-profit daycares continue to join the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care program at much lower rates, particularly in the GTA.

One of the central jobs of everyone who works in education but is not a classroom teacher should be ensuring classroom teachers have enough (time, energy, knowledge, training, resources).

If you nurture and value teachers, you nurture and value the children in front of them.
