The argument of 'it's going to take x years before it's anywhere near ready!' as an answer to any major project being undertaken is so frustrating to me.
Like, yes, building a nuclear power plant will take a long time.
So why not start now? That 20+ year is gonna pass anyway, we may as well...

Yes. While there are absolutely things Democrats can and must do to slow, obstruct, etc, GOP hold both House and Senate majorities, severely limiting our options.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.
But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

On Elon's little solute gesture, I'll just say this. Before political event speeches, great care is given in planning to ensure nothing is said or done that could be misinterpreted, with multiple advisors triple checking every little detail. It was exactly what it appeared to be.
