Speaking of (not) using AI to research: my partner and I are with their family for the holidays and looking through some of their childhood books we stumbled upon this TREASURE TROVE of inspiration. I have literally never seen Ivan Bilibin’s illustration before and it’s VRRY exciting.

Give an inch and they will take a mile. Even taking the pessimist's view that some level of Gen AI will be industry standard going forward, the way we keep it to a minimum and ensure a continued place creatives in the industry is by pushing back hard. Especially in high profile cases like this.

"RemoveWindowsAI" is a script created by zoicware, available on GitHub, that does exactly what it says: it remove every AI feature in Windows 11. Do what you wish to do with this information. I'm sharing this because some folks are forced to use Win11 at work or other places for any reasons.

"The odd charm of The Garden of Death can most likely be attributed to the fact that Death is depicted as a gentle character, as is most often the case in Hugo Simberg's work. Why is Death, the very essence of destruction, tending to the potted plants and flowers that are metaphors for life and regeneration? Simberg believed the garden of death to be a place where souls go before entering heaven. He depicts human souls as plants, almost as if man is as undeveloped compared to his paradisical self as a child is compared to an adult.
