I spoke with @manjaselva.bsky.social at @marsdd.bsky.social about why Silicon Valley billionaires think technology is the answer to all of humanity's problems, and why they're wrong. You can listen to our conversation here: solveforx.simplecast.com/episodes/inf...

New video by @techconnectify.bsky.social. I enjoy watching his videos because I like his nerdy exegeses of heat pumps and solar.

BUT. Today I want you ALL (!) to watch a particular part of this video that starts at 1:16:35. The link below jumps to that part.

Watch it.

I presented some thoughts on AI and education yesterday at UNamur. Still a work in progress, but I might be starting to develop a rationale for an interesting research proposal. The presentation: nathfriant.github.io/presett-2026/

Many thanks to Educ0num for letting me present at their event!

So, Wikipedia is 25 today, which means I didn't even know it existed when I was in high school. I still remember how it was scorned during my first years at university. It’s still one of the best things the internet has produced!

It makes me sick to still read long studies about the potential benefits of LLMs to education not taking this into account.

Hello. Please stop using Spotify. Or at least stop paying for it.
I use YouTube on Firefox for android with Ublock Origin and an extension that allows you to listen to YouTube on a locked screen. Works well for me. If you like musicians, go direct to their Bandcamp or website. Thanks!

What a read!
Long but required reading. It occurs to me that maybe Hinton et al sounding alarms about regulating AU may not be terrified of AI per se but rather of the techbros they see around them.
