I need a real journalist to look into the OU paper scandal. I don’t need a breakdown of the paper. All of us with college experience, and many without, can do that. I need an investigative report on exactly how contrived this is.

The story of the Oneida nation fells like a common story among American Nations. Contact; disease, trade, and culture, did 90% of the damage. Europeans and Americans committed atrocities on top of that, and Europeans took advantage of American suffering mercilessly.

Can the SCOTUS do this? Obviously it can, but is it legal. I thought appeals were a matter of procedure and finding, not a retrial in which new evidence can be inserted.
The Roberts Court will go down in history as having upheld the desires of Donald Trump and the GOP, rather than its commitment to justice, precedent or the rule of law.

Today’s ruling — which substitutes its own fact finding for that of the lower court — is yet another example.

For the record, Joe Biden is going to out live Trump, and he’ll be with it enough and healthy enough to dance a soft shoe on Trump’s grave.

Why is he always sitting down? Remember his last term? He was always standing like half a centaur.
Trump: "Can we uhhh, talk about it? Right there is a man. Come here, let me say hello to you."

Also genocide. I’m not judging. Genocide was pretty common in the 18th century. Irregardless, it should be noted that America was built on freedom and genocide, also slavery and enlightenment.
I assume she means everyone who isn’t white.

This isn’t to say there was no violence in the Iroquois Confederation. Revenge killings, raiding, etc, were key components of Iroquois life, and fulfilled many of the same roles as legal punishment does in other societies, such as being a deterrent.
The Iroquois Nation at all levels, the Confederation, Nation, Clan, village and “family,” ohwachira, ran on consensus. 100% agreement was needed for movement on any issue. Dissenting nations, etc could opt out. There was no official negative enforcement. Community consensus carried out decisions.

Why does the Nakatomi Company have a bunch of barer bonds? Maybe Gruber should have stuck with terrorism. That company was shady.

This is why fascist never willingly leave power. They are criminals on a grand scale; criminals with the power of state behind their illicit intentions. You can’t simply let a new regime in when you’ve committed so many horrible acts.

#HarrietTubman is dead. C.1822 to 1913. She did daring things because it was the right thing to do. “keep going.”

After the Civil War, black veterans had a difficult time collecting benefits as many of them had, understandably, changed their name after emancipation. #HarrietTubman

In 1867 #HarrietTubman ‘s ex husband, John Tubman, was gunned down by a white man, Robert Vincent, on a lonely road on Maryland’s eastern shore. The only witness was Tubman’s 13-year-old son. The all white make jury acquitted Vincent after 20 minutes of deliberation.

It’s surprising how often the “can’t we all just get along,” folks turn on the responsible adults when they finally say enough is enough.

Try and draw this Org Chart. I dare you. Madness lies that way.
FWIW, RUMINT, but pretty reliable:

1. Vance key to US embrace of Russia plan on Ukraine, Rubio (and even Trump) out of the loop.

2. Vance-Rubio relations “awful.”

3. Rubio told the senators exactly what they said he told them.

4. Hegseth paranoid he’ll be shoved out, Driscoll will replace him.

She was also engaged in charity work, raising funds for black schools and orphanages, taking care of the local poor, and the old, etc.
#HarrietTubman became active in the suffrage movement after the Civil War. There is no end. The fight is never over. Remember that.

I’ve noticed in many ICE clips a similar tactic. ICE agents demand a witness back up, even when the witness is not in the way. They advance apparently hoping the witness won’t do that when they bump the witness they can claim the witness assaulted them.
This is a thread detailing a series of incidents where federal Judge Ellis rules that Gregory Bovino and his agents lied or misrepresented what was happening on the streets of Chicago. In this one, she says body cam footage suggests they brake checked to cause accidents
