It’s Time to Make Art! #webcomic

A four panel comic. In panel one a blonde character holds up some pens and paper, shouting “it’s time to make art!” In panels two and three the character does everything except make art: they mow the lawn, fix a lightbulb, vacuum, do the dishes, take out trash and so on. In the final panel, the character is shown slumping in a chair, exhausted. Another character with brown hair stands behind them and says “you’ve done nothing but chores all day!” To which the blonde character replies “ yeah, I knew I wouldn’t *suck* at those!”

I gave Pacific Drive another chance and I’m really enjoying it this time thru.

I still think the best part of the game is the time spent quietly tinkering away in the garage, repairing my car while listening to the rain patter on the roof.

I swear I’m not a purist but I’m just not a fan of modern xenomorph design which has basically made them velociraptors (from space). Thrilling but not creepy.

Gimme a gaunt upright xeno with plantigrade feet that stalks you like Michael Myers (from space).

Some xenos about to get fragged.

Kinda funny how the AI actress creators also had to create AI people to shill for them in their all-AI video.

Doesn’t help their case that the pitch video is unfunny, condescending, and creepy as hell.

When I was 12 I saw William H. Macy play a turtle in a children’s TV special.

I stole some of his mannerisms when I auditioned for the part of a turtle in a school play.

Years later I saw him in Fargo and nearly leapt out of my seat. “It’s the turtle guy!”

There may be an opportunity for an app that advertises itself as “a podcast player but for webcomics.”

You just go to a website and bookmark it, it's that simple. And I even have an RSS feed that tells you when I update! Do kids know what RSS feeds are anymore?

"Magical Thinking." #webcomic

A four-panel comic entitled "Magical Thinking." A blonde character shows a small carved chest to a red-haired character. The blonde character says "This is Pandora's Box, the mythical source of all human misery and suffering. So we have to be especially careful..."

The blonde character trails off speechless as the red-haired character nonchalantly opens the box with a smile. A number of tiny monsters, some winged, some legged, leap from the box and scatter away.

The blonde character, now furious, asks "why the HELL did you do THAT?!" The red-haired character drops the box and says smugly, "so I can get rich curing society's ills."

The blonde character stares at the red-haired character and asks, "so do you even have a plan?"

To which the red-haired character replies, pulling out something that looks like a dismembered furry hand that glows with power, "nah, but i was thinking of using this monkey's paw."

Backstage with my band at D23, we exchanged nods with Chadwick Boseman as he came by to pre-sign some autographs. He then dropped and proceeded to bust out 25 push-ups.
