What a special little film The Ballad Of Wallis Island is. Definitely recommend seeing it at the cinema, the scale emphasises so much of the location and its atmosphere. Big screens aren't just for blockbusters!

The WFA debacle was completely unnecessary.
It was the classic gang loyalty test of getting everyone’s fingerprints on the gun.
A smart incoming government would have kept it (cheaper than pension credits) and used it as an excuse to reverse the NI cuts.

Winter fuel came up with pretty much every former and current Labour voter we spoke to yesterday in Doncaster.
Said before but no doubt that the winter fuel allowance means testing has played a large part in where Labour find themselves and the rise of Reform and it reinforced the feeling Labour and the Tories were no different. I think they have to find a way out. bsky.app/profile/luke...
