When I was a kid, renting a VHS from the local Blockbuster felt like a special event. There were plenty of independent video rental shops, too. The surprise and delight of finding something new to watch was exciting!

There is no way I can say this that won't make it sound callous, but it's so hard to find interesting podcasts, YT channels, and streams because the platforms have been flooded by bland and technically inept creators. I'm so sorry but a good 70% of you shouldn't be publishing.

I find myself wondering what happened to people I followed on Twitter who’ve now disappeared. Didn’t know them, used to have friendly chats etc. I suppose they’ve just deleted all their apps and moved on.
