I've been watching Midsomer Murders and I think Annette Badland could be a strong contender for playing Nanny Ogg

Pet peeve: when a woman takes her clothes off while alone on tv and film, we see the garments hit the floor, etc, and she leaves the bra for last. Most of us can't wait to get out of it!

Oh. Wow. Watch it if you can.
I'm intrigued by this film, Good Boy, a haunted house(I think) horror film from the pov of a dog. I remember how much I enjoyed that one brilliant Hawkeye number told from the perspective of Lucky the Pizza Dog.

Our annual blog post looking back at what we did at Swan River Press this year.

After another cycle around the sun, and as the darker days of winter approach, it’s time to look back at what we managed to accomplish this year here at Swan River Press. Along the housing front, the ...

For the next week, which I have mostly off, my diet will be a combination of high-salt treats(cured meats, cheeses, smoked fish, pate),Spanish Xmas pastries and a mountain of apples and mandarines. For balance

Once you start reading T. Kingfisher, it's hard to stop. She builds such wonderful sanctuaries for the weary heart, for the mind exhausted by current events, the reading soul. I'm going to A House With Good Bones next

THREAD.

My parents' cat Bridget vanished. As the weeks dragged on they became ever more worried, so to distract himself my dad began to paint Bridget's adventures, imagining her travelling through time and popping up at some of art & music's most important moments.

I've collected his work here...

In case it's not bots, if you've tried to DM me here, know that I can't read or respond to it(but I see there are some,) as I refuse to verify my age here, as the UK government demands, because I don't trust the videogame company doing it with my data.

Last night I read Ruby Dixon's Space Vampire, which is adorable, and it made me think about a book I've been trying to find again for decades. I read it from the library, in the 90s(so it's older than that), and a vampire is trying to survive in a generation ship where most ppl are in stasis.
