My favorite coffee is probably drive-thru hot chocolate that comes from the same machine as coffee. I love the faint flavor of coffee that's not quite overpowered by dairy and chocolate.

I realize this is hardly the most important thing to focus on, but for the same reason it is baffling that the regime has reverted their official correspondence to Times New Roman. Even moreso, as their dictum - er, memo - was titled "Return to Tradition." A 21-year-old tradition.

Peak: [hold up cookie] "ih?" "neh"

Gotta love when a product listing promotes a feature before you buy and when you go to double check the specs AFTER purchasing, the listing no longer includes that feature

Watching 227 with a friend, and an episode begins with Mary dancing to The Twist (I believe the Chubby Checker version). If the episode was put out today, the most similar song choice by chart performance and release date would probably be Livin' la Vida Loca.

There's been a lot of talk recently about the AI bubble bursting soon. There was a lot of talk a few years ago about the housing bubble bursting, too, but prices and rents are still sky high. I think the bubbles of old have turned into balloons, and that's going to ruin life for us all indefinitely.

A lot of folks were introduced to the wonders of pygmy hippos thanks to the popularity of Moo Deng. There's nothing wrong with that, and she's wonderful. But I remember the days of Worst Cats.

Do Denverites get mad if you tell them they live in the Great Plains, or is that just well-accepted there? As a Kansan who like to prod at neighboring states, I need to know. #Denver

It's been a while since I've genuinely been excited for a new book to release. And here I am, thinking about when it would be most prudent to buy a copy of @merriam-webster.com's new edition of their Collegiate Dictionary. I already have an 11th Edition. But new is fun!

My current hot take is that a lot of players are RPing Wizards and Sorcerers wrong. Quit playing emotionally aloof sorcerers and wizards who understand people at all.

Somehow, I think I've managed to never hear "Wonderwall" all the way through. I do not intend to at this time.

Bsky, we can't lean into a future where regulating social media means blanket rules that enforce unwanted censorship. The responsibility needs to be on the creator to label, and on the consumer to filter out the unwanted based on it. Not on gradually eliminating more and more content altogether.

There's a lot of bullshit in the sims 4. I'll complain about so many things EA has done with and to that game. But I will defend the roof tool, tooth and nail. The TS4 roof tool is fucking amazing and I will die on this hill.

I hope people understand that the anomaly here aren’t the conditions—the conditions are very typical—the anomaly is that they put a number of documented workers from a high-income country in those conditions. This is how people are treated in custody routinely
korean reporting is nightmarish on the conditions Korean workers were contained in

The problem with the "Soup: No Bowl" post from Tumblr Dot Com is that it's as illogical as the writer believes "no bowl" to be. You expect me to believe that the Federation wouldn't hire beta testers? The replicator has substitutions for ingredients, but not vessels? The soup goes in a cup. Amateur.

Yuuuuup. Also, I don't give a shit if some of the worst people in the world think I am being performative or am virtue signaling. Fuck 'em. They don't get to tell me how to be.

Anyway, trans rights are human rights, y'all. It's not complicated.
To my fellow cishet dudes: when we are quiet about supporting the trans community, the only voices anyone hears are the Charlie Kirks of the world. Don't let accusations of being "performative" or "virtue signaling" shut you up - that's their whole point. Our voices are needed now more than ever.
