I realize this is hardly the most important thing to focus on, but for the same reason it is baffling that the regime has reverted their official correspondence to Times New Roman. Even moreso, as their dictum - er, memo - was titled "Return to Tradition." A 21-year-old tradition.

There's been a lot of talk recently about the AI bubble bursting soon. There was a lot of talk a few years ago about the housing bubble bursting, too, but prices and rents are still sky high. I think the bubbles of old have turned into balloons, and that's going to ruin life for us all indefinitely.

A lot of folks were introduced to the wonders of pygmy hippos thanks to the popularity of Moo Deng. There's nothing wrong with that, and she's wonderful. But I remember the days of Worst Cats.

It's been a while since I've genuinely been excited for a new book to release. And here I am, thinking about when it would be most prudent to buy a copy of @merriam-webster.com's new edition of their Collegiate Dictionary. I already have an 11th Edition. But new is fun!

My current hot take is that a lot of players are RPing Wizards and Sorcerers wrong. Quit playing emotionally aloof sorcerers and wizards who understand people at all.

Bsky, we can't lean into a future where regulating social media means blanket rules that enforce unwanted censorship. The responsibility needs to be on the creator to label, and on the consumer to filter out the unwanted based on it. Not on gradually eliminating more and more content altogether.

There's a lot of bullshit in the sims 4. I'll complain about so many things EA has done with and to that game. But I will defend the roof tool, tooth and nail. The TS4 roof tool is fucking amazing and I will die on this hill.

You expect me to believe that the Federation wouldn't hire beta testers? The replicator has substitutions for ingredients, but not vessels? The soup goes in a cup. Amateur.
