Can a misanthrope do some good in the world? Still trying to find out.
Proudhon be damned, I will still proudly wave the banner of anarcho-capitalism, Proudhon be praised.

Rocket Mortgage just announced a new home buyer program enabling buyers to put as little as 1% down, per @unusualwhales.bsky.social

It's cool, nothing ever went wrong with vastly overselling mortgages or anything.

Hard work is undoubtedly a commendable virtue, and I pride myself upon it. However, 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘺 is not the badge of honor we often fool ourselves into believing it to be.

Allergies have been so severe for me this year I might as well have some kind of flu. I am taking 20mg of Cetrizine, 10mg AM and 10mg PM... It's just been miserable. Definitely open to suggestions for relief.

I really wish a "Made in China" tag were visible.
Just the most viscerally unpleasant shot imaginable, incredible campaign material

If you have to go undercover into your company to figure out what is going on, you are far too disconnected from the bottom of your company to be anywhere near the top.

(I really hope YouTube stops recommending Undercover Boss to me.)

The "weird" kids you grew up with became the "most amazing" adults because they cared as little about how you perceived them then as they do now.

@unusualwhales.bsky.social reminded me that Richard Burr sold 83% of his port for millions the day after he was briefed privately on COVID.

Yesterday, an @opensea.bsky.social employee was sentenced to 2 years in prison over $50,000.

The laws lawmakers write are for us, not themselves.

While we are upset at one another for taking issue with spending, debt ceilings, or any other economic malfeasance, let us sharpen our focus to those who need dire attention. We have no time to tarry.

AOC, @aoc.bsky.social, has asked Dianne Feinstein to resign.

Feinstein has been out of Congress for months, holding back nominations.

She is 89 years old, worth $200 million dollars.

She has had numerous unusual trades in her career, including selling stocks after private Covis hearings

Michael Ledford has been denied freedom from a wrongful imprisonment. Mr. Ledford is an autistic man who was pressured to confess. His last hope is clemency, a pardon from the Governor of Virginia.

I only wish I could help him.

"Labor market conditions will have to continue to soften."

Apparently, and perhaps obviously, we have to have a certain number of unemployed individuals, just as we must have a certain number of folks working at below poverty levels.
