My current Rep. has missed 6% of the votes this year, voted to censure other Reps that are fighting for human rights, and voted to “honor” Charlie Kirk. We’re long overdue for a change.

The federal government has spent millions of dollars for disaster response companies to build prison camps for immigrants in FL while it’s pinching pennies on actual disaster response in TX. What’s wrong with this picture? open.substack.com/pub/jasongar...

Per the NPS: “We take the protection of our National parks seriously and will not tolerate behavior that undermines their integrity.” I think that’s exactly why the flag was put up.

I can’t do big protests anymore, but I can write postcards until the cows come home (or the Dems are back in office). This batch of old Hudson River lighthouses went to voters in NY. #autisticadvocacy

The same reasoning can be applied to autism.

Wow.

“I am flawed. I am, in part, broken. Not by my autism, but by my insistence on fighting it and by the stresses it places on me. My being different from most people around me—and the years of living a life not meant for me—have taken their toll.” - Laura James, Odd Girl Out

The question behind this article is moot— Kennedy isn’t trying to find the real causes of autism, he’s funneling taxpayer money into proving his debunked quack theories.

He has no intention of doing actual science. He’s not willing to be wrong.

Why RFK Jr.’s search for autism’s cause is so divisive
Groups advocating for people with the condition are split on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s effort to understand why so many more are being diagnosed with it.

This should frighten everyone. They are amassing this data for more than just an autism study, that noone is going to be able to opt in/ opt out of. This is about grabbing data for tech bros. www.cbsnews.com/news/rfk-jr-... RFK Jr.'s autism study to amass medical records of many Americans

This thread brilliantly explains why growing numbers of previously undiagnosed adults (esp. AFAB) are realizing they’re ADHD/Autistic. (Spoiler alert: it’s not because it’s “trendy.”)
Why are there so many undiagnosed adults who are only now discovering that they're either autistic, adhd, or neurodivergent in some way?

I can explain... \1

The SAVE Act (passed the in House) will require Americans to show proof of citizenship to register to vote. It will affect people who can’t afford a passport/copy of their birth certificate or have to move frequently- those who are most vulnerable to the whims of the candidates they can’t vote for.

The Lakin Riley Act is being passed to protect people from the supposed threat of undocumented immigrants after 1 woman was (tragically) killed. Tens of thousands of people are killed by gun violence each year but trying to limit access to guns is somehow considered sacrilege. Make that make sense.

1/ The number of protests planned for tomorrow is enormous. Given what Trump has done to the economy, and everyone's collective ability to pay for household expenses/retirement I'd expect them to be huge. Find out more at handsoff2025.com

Medicare for All isn't radical.

What's radical is that we are the only major country not to guarantee health care as a human right. Every other major country figured out years ago how to provide health care to all at a much lower cost.

Please don't tell me we can't do the same.

Gatekeeping accommodations is so weird. Most accommodations are a bother unless you need them, so if someone says "wow [x accommodation] would really improve my life", they need it. Meanwhile, if an accommodation could in fact benefit everyone, not just disabled people, then everyone should have it.
