They literally, in hindsight, made some bad decisions, and did it to themselves. "a blow for robotics"? LOL The execs will have their golden parachutes, they will be juuuust fine. The ones to suffer, as always, will be the exploited workers that lose their jobs.

Granted, I had two of the earlier versions of Roomba, but ultimately I gave up on it. Because having Roomba clean your floors was like having a very young child clean your floors. It required constant, unwavering attention and frequently got itself into trouble. It was easier to do them myself.
