The writing is very "old style". Kind if dense if you're not accustomed to it. But if you can get past that the story is amazing.

The problem I have with the BH/KJA books is that everything happens too easily and quickly. There's not a lot of building of story it's just one quick scene jump to the next and then 20 pages later everything is resolved and we go to the next conflict.
