tuckermaymysteries My name is Tucker May. In April I married the love of my life, Barbara Marques. Right now I fear for her life.

A week and a half ago she was taken by ICE at our properly scheduled green card meeting at the Federal Building downtown. At the end of what we were told was a successful meeting, the officer used the excuse of a broken copier to trick her into walking away from our lawyer. Once separated from her legal counsel, she was arrested. The reason for her detention was a missed court date from 2019 which my wife was never notified about.

We have been working with lawyers since that time to correct the situation. The Adelanto detention center has actively been keeping my wife from correspondence with her lawyer by delaying in giving her documents that were mailed to the facility.

Last night, she was taken from the Adelanto facility to an undisclosed destination despite our lawyer having filed a temporary restraining order to stop this from happening. They could be sending her anywhere in the world and we have no way of knowing.

I'm asking for help in bringing to the attention of media and authorities these multiple lapses in due process and proper procedure through the unwarranted deportation of a woman whose legal marriage has been duly recognized as legitimate by immigration through the 1130 petition process.

silksong's musical score only gets better with each listen. i love the use of strings to evoke weavers, the use of bells in specific moments. haven't gotten to the end of the game yet but accidentally spoiled some reveals because i keep listening to the score and noticing the leitmotif lol

i think about these things a lot because of the obsession with finding the "source" of neurodivergence, which is lately centered on vilifying life saving medical technology or infantilizing people with conditions instead of improving quality of life or doing literally anything useful

Tylenol isn't connected to autism. I wonder if this reporter is aware (and no shade to her, this is one of few stories I've read that actually quotes autistic people!) that there is a higher prevalence of autism and ADHD in hypermobile communities

the fact that so many people frame autism as “a problem that needs to be solved” is a constant reminder that being “not normal” isn’t acceptable to a large amount of the world. it’s the same reason there’s a trans panic right now too. they think people are defective

a common thread i've heard in the chronic illness space is the idea of tattooing as a chosen body modification, after so many of us have had our bodies medicalized/altered. it's complicated and yeah i'm grateful for my medical interventions. but choosing to modify myself with art is different
