MSNBC reported Schumer's office felt that the longer that shutdown went on, the more likely it was that people would start to blame the Dems.
My kingdom for Democrats that don't govern out of fear. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The American people are far braver than their reps.

It is a great time for courage, y'all. Any decisions you make from here on out are only going to be optimized by your courage. Courage is the blue chip commodity right now, an absolutely sound investment.

This is a hot ticket right here
Schumer and his friends want Trump to have power because they hate you. They are furious Mamdani won in a landslide and are afraid of repeats all over the country. Their solution is open capitulation to the far right.

I voted NO. As long as there is still any time left to reverse the MAGA health care hike, I believe we should do everything we can to force Republicans to the negotiating table.
The fight for health care does not end tonight.

Premise: this is not my first rodeo if and only if it is my second rodeo or further
Premise: any rodeo from my first rodeo on is real
Premise: 3 rodeos are more than 2 rodeos
Conclusion: A third rodeo can also be more than one rodeo and therefore not my first rodeo

It's pretty wild that these guys are acting as if they are going to see zero consequences. I promise if this isn't reconciled within the legal system, the alternative remedy is going to have these agents wishing they were in front of a judge.
Not ICE. Border Patrol. They’re wearing Border Patrol uniforms with clear Border Patrol patches on them.
There are many videos of ICE officers doing outrageous stuff but a lot of the absolute worst videos are of Border Patrol, who are basically Bovino and Miller’s most aggressive tool right now.

ICE agents in Chicago violently detain a non verbal autistic man for being “non compliant”
He couldn’t “comply” because of his disability…they don’t care
This is not the first time they’ve gone after a disabled person
They target the most vulnerable because it’s an easy way to meet their quota

It was unreal the amount of unopposed positions on my ballot. largely I imagine because the local cost of living is high. A lot of small community politicians only get a stipend, so if you don't have lots of spare time and outside income, running for office isn't tenable
There are a LOT of progressive people (especially young people) who seriously need to be thinking about running for office, at all levels.
We need your energy!

Folks, saying ABOLISH ICE isn't hard. Quite easy. The water is warm here. Jump in. Mainstream it. People will follow.

They are running concentration camps and this is not hyperbole
ICE enforcement may be a mass disabling event.
Disease is rampant in the camps.
Disabled people report having their medical needs ignored and their conditions drastically worsened.
The indiscriminate use of chemical weapons and violence causes harm.
Abolish ICE.

Any movie executive who wants to make money and make content that people like, WOULD NOT go this route. It is a bad business move and people won't watch. Who are these fools listening to?

Have you seen the popular politics coming out of the UK rn? goh
Parliamentary systems like the British, Australian, Canadian models actually function because parliament has all the power. Disfunction is built into the American system with competing seats of power at the federal level and between state and federal governments. It’s designed to confuse and fail.

A lot of people outside Chicago do not know what's happening in Chicago. They don't know about the broad daylight disappearances. They don't know about the tear gas. They don't know how communities are organizing against all this.

Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇
