Can't afford a new EV? No problem. Convert your internal combustion engine to a plugin hybrid for $6,000. Besides, it's simply not sustainable to trash all the existing cars on the road--this conversion model is genius.

I truly don’t think even the most well-meaning, informed men understand how many of the women in their lives have been sexually assaulted or abused, often by multiple men, and often by men they know. The stories women share with each other privately would shock them to their core.
"One of the reasons the epidemic of violence against women is so unacknowledged is because cases like these are talked about individually, and often treated as though they are shocking aberrations rather than part of a pervasive pattern that operates at all levels of society."
The problem is far bigger than Jeffrey Epstein | Rebecca Solnit
Treating the scandal as an aberration misunderstands the global epidemic of violence against women

Another forest fire broke out in the Olympic National Forest. South of the Hamma Hamma River, it's reported that the smoke is visible from NF25 (it leads to the popular Lena Lake trailhead). I hope this one quickly put out. 🙏

Today is #EarthOvershootDay — the day when humanity’s demands on nature surpass Earth’s ability to replenish itself in a year. This year’s date (a week earlier than 2024) means that people are using nature 1.8 times faster than Earth can replenish itself.

So far, this has been a very positive year for wildlife on our farm. Most birds are now onto their second broods! Butterflies are increasing in number by the day. Let's hope it continues. Despite the Yorkshire hosepipe ban, where we are we've had ample rain.
