Bovino was forced out of Minnesota because the American people stood firm. Tens of thousands of people took to the streets in below-freezing temps to peacefully defend their neighbors & freedoms.

We’ll keep fighting. No more deaths at the hands of rogue DHS agents.

I was just supposed to follow clergy leaders as they did a pilgrimage from George Floyd Square to Renée Good’s memorial.

But then when we got back to the landing spot, we found out an observer had been attacked by ICE agents who had been tailing the religious leaders.

From me today in Minneapolis:
ICE attacked an observer after they tailed a group of clergy on a spiritual pilgrimage.

Our digital producer @sam.vp just so happened to be with the clergy on their journey. He spoke with the observer who was attacked and others who witnessed the assault.

Russian authorities have detained an Indigenous climate advocate, accusing her of participating in a terrorist organization in what international observers are calling “retribution” for her United Nations advocacy on behalf of Indigenous peoples.

From our colleagues at @grist.org:
She fought forIndigenous voices at the UN. Now she’s in a Russian jail cell.
Observers say Daria Egereva’s case highlights the risks Native advocates face when they challenge the powerful.

Moving faster now in the road that's clear of ice. People are watching from their homes. Spontaneous chants are breaking out (and can periodically hear someone yelling, "a woman was murdered!").

Trump has:

- Illegally & unconstitutionally attacked Venezuela

- Provided Netanyahu with $12B in arms sales

- Given Argentina's president a $40B bailout

- Approved the sale of jets & tanks to Saudi Arabia

- Given Qatar an Air Force facility in Idaho

This is Renee Good.

She was a mother of a six-year-old child.

She was an American citizen.

She described herself as a “poet and writer and wife and mom and shitty guitar strummer from Colorado.”

And she was gunned down in cold blood and broad daylight by Trump’s ICE agents.
