the problem with the girlboss wasn't that women had ambition. it was that ambition is a trap and the girlboss is a contributor to her own oppression. instead of changing the world, she optimized her way into it, and ended up with only burnout to show for it. it's just lean in for millennials.

Flying cars are the perfect example of a point solution: trying to solve a systemic problem (traffic) with an individual product (fly over the traffic).

But traffic is not a technology problem; it's a social problem. Remote work, congestion fees, and dense transit-connected housing solve it better.

the one thing my mother never refused to buy was books. we used to make weekly Saturday morning pilgrimages to the library. she instilled a love of reading in us very, very early. tore through every book series I could find before I moved on to adult lit.

I learned how to read well because I was doing it all the time. A Goosebumps book and an encyclopedia volume hated to see me coming. I dont even know how you develop proper reading skills if you only read books at school.

Matt I took an edible and saw it in IMAX 3D and it was the single best movie-going experience of my life! it's sincerely the first time I haven't hated Leto in a movie. I had such a blast and it's an excellent distillation of the times. my review drops friday. everyone should see it!
