Didn't Shadows do numbers??? Morons

When I was a little kid, I wrote a strongbad email full of random nonsense. Since I just clicked "email strongbad" it opened my mom's outlook on windows XP. I was like 9 so I didnt really understand that she could look at her outbox and see it

She was like "YOU CAN'T EMAIL STRANGERS THIS STUFF!!!"

this is a madly 2001 photograph, dod gamn dude my brain thanks you

Yeah! So much stuff is just thrown together. I hear so much bad about like Nintendo's GameCube and N64 emulation and stuff from other companies too that I kinda wrote this PS5 port off last year. Really nice to feel some quality in it!

Actually reading a lot of the archive in SIREN this time. There's so many cool story details I didn't even know we're here

This thing really was a worthy successor to Silent Hill! In a perfect world, we'd get not a remake but instead a SIREN 3 that looks and plays just like the first two!

I'm about 70% through now and I gotta say, really happy with this PS5 port!

Only thing the PCSX2 ver has over it is the widescreen hack. But otherwise it's an excellent port that's super clean looking and I had no discernable issues. (Shibito got stuck on corners on PCSX2 sometimes, not here tho!)

Ended up going "screw it" and looking a few items up for SIREN. But man, the rewind feature on PS5 still allows so much experimentation!

It's so nice trying random little things I don't exactly think will work, and whipping back.

Just did the Harumi house escape, just as awesome as I remembered!

So you must understand my frustration then. I have to try SO hard to get people to care about anything new that deserves it! Big companies like Nintendo have all this legacy and money so they just win.

And I see this dripfeed crap and it's like "yup that's how they win"

Just a bummer to me man.
nitrorad.bsky.social
There's plenty reason for it to come out slowly. It just doesn't have anything to do with providing a service people want.
nitrorad.bsky.social
Yeah instead your being reminded of Paper Mario. See the problem now?
nitrorad.bsky.social
The data from stuff like the smash bros updates showed them exactly how to play consumer psychology

Wish more people saw it for what it was, but they just see Nintendo
nitrorad.bsky.social
It's an ad for the brand, is why the dripfeed. You gotta think business for it to make sense
nitrorad.bsky.social
I just don't understand why people care and keep sharing each update all excited

It's like our brains are broken and we need artificial things to look forward to

Nintendo tryna make their own brand of Disney adults dude and it's working hardcore

Nintendo fans in 2045: "omg I'm so excited they added the third page of the Pikmin manual to the Nintendo Classics+ tier of the Nintendo Retro Legacy app!!! I hope they add the box art of Mach Rider Next!!!!!!"

Which is why I got so annoyed seeing game reviewers suggest the load screens are "outdated" and shouldn't be there

Those are the checkpoints between levels!!! It has a mechanical function!!!
nitrorad.bsky.social
SIREN is an amazing example of this too! Missions take only 2 to 8 minutes on a good run. Stealth games are great in that structure

You could even view each individual screen in MGS3 as it's own mission, since you can save and quit after beating one

Tbh it's all we need. Siren doesn't need a remake, just patient players who want to fall in love with it! The gameplay is great, just takes learning. And the rewind feature lets you experiment tons

Besides, a remake would never do the original visual style justice! And would be $90 instead of $10
