I have this book and find it an absolutely delightful resource! It’s got humor, trivia, genre, history—and insight into what it was about these horror films that made them such cultural classics.

There are also handy trigger warnings and lists of alternative books to read if you can’t watch!

I mean as a kid I was told enjoying horror itself was evil bc “imagine Jesus watching/reading it with you and being absolutely disgusted” so it really doesn’t take much to be demonized

(pretty sure he’d be more disgusted at Passion of the Christ than anything but I digress)

It's interesting seeing the different ways resistance has formed in different cities. Los Angeles Organized, Chicago Radicalized, and Portland Got Weird as Fuck. All 3 have had success unifying their respective cities.

I guess my point is there are multiple paths to ungovernability.
