The top three stories on every news website in Australia are pure, unadulterated US propaganda, and all it took for Labor to cave to support Trump and Israel’s illegal war was one Hastie press conference. It’s all objectively worse than 2003. Very grim.

There is no antiwar movement and there is not a single media outlet in Australia willing to even describe the bombing as illegal — so of course Labor is going to take the path of least resistance by backing them.

Trump does the most consequential and illegal thing of his presidency and the Democrats are either mute or actively supporting it. Pathetic.

Iran’s Fordo Site Said to Look Severely Damaged — Not Destroyed

Initial Israeli military assessments of the buried nuclear site contrast with the statement on the strike there made by Donald Trump, who said it was “completely and totally obliterated.”

Trump, the isolationist president who vowed to avoid foreign wars, has walked slap bang into a trap prepared by Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu – a trap his smarter predecessors avoided.

No matter what Trump says, the US has gone to war – and there will be profound and lasting consequences | Simon Tisdall
Trump has fallen slap bang into the trap laid for him by Netanyahu. His reckless gamble makes a nuclear weapon for Iran more, not less, likely, says Guardian foreign affairs commentator Simon Tisdall

A couple days back, Iran sent a message to Trump threatening to activate "sleeper-cell terror inside the United States if it was attacked", NBC reports.

So basically we spent $100 million or whatever to create the equivalent of a 6-hole golf course with giant sand traps (and no real damage to Iran's nuclear capability)

I mean, just imagine what a "dumb president" might have done!

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that Trump’s decision to drop the bombs in Iran “is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.”

“He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations,” she added.
Democrats in Congress decry Trump’s Iran strikes as unconstitutional
The 1973 War Powers Act and the Constitution both give Congress—not the president—the power to declare war.

This time yesterday, Iran had enriched uranium sufficient to make 10 nuclear weapons, if and when it decided to go down that route.
Today, they are exactly in the same place, they have good reasons to move to weaponisation, and no one knows where that uranium is.

Apparently MAGA voted to occupy Gaza and develop it after displacing the population, run mineral companies in Ukraine, make Iran great again by installing a pro-Trump regime, selling scenic federal land to developers, Trump crypto scams, record deficits, and a trade war.

Informing only Republicans before bombing Iran isn’t a “mistake.” It’s a federal violation. 50 U.S.C. § 3093 requires bipartisan notification, and Trump was aware of the law when he broke it.
