Is there a process for contacting the city clerk about these discrepancies? Do you have to be an Atlanta resident/voter?

White seems to have claimed that all $25k spent was in non itemized expenditures less than $100. This seems dubious to me. Have you ever seen this from a campaign before?

Albuquerque DSA is proud to have endorsed Rep. Chavez and we stand by her criticisms of ICE. ICE has been out of control, kidnapping community members from hospital beds and terrorizing families in their schools, workplaces, and homes. ICE is beyond reformation and must be abolished.

I’d hold out on that conclusion for now, just because the cognitive dissonance could resolve in either direction. But the trends are concerning
nondensocialist.bsky.social
There’s enough cognitive dissonance at the moment that you still see people like Zohran, Rashida, and even AOC/Bernie popular among the youth. But there’s growing detachment from familiarity with basic aspects of campaign structure and mass organizing
nondensocialist.bsky.social
The issue at stake is that support for traditional progressive Dem campaigns is virtually evaporated among younger voters, and that void either pushes zoomers towards far right politics or to ultra leftist outlooks. I think SoR has closer politics to DSA’s <25 base than we would prefer to think

gw & smc have misread whats going on inside of dsa since like 2022, but i dont think your caucus or others on the left have any understanding of the terrain outside of the org or the student activist world

The issue that Rose is complaining about (and I have a slightly different take than her) is that the feedback loops in DSA do not reward successful tactics or prompt productive adaptation.
nondensocialist.bsky.social
Yes, and some of those views have resulted in a much more consistent rate of success than others.
nondensocialist.bsky.social
OK, but then it doesn’t make sense to turn around and claim credit for the candidates winning. Emerge outright opposed Zohran’s endorsement and only how they’re trying to tout him as an example.
nondensocialist.bsky.social
Bread and Roses is the exception here, as a caucus they’ve gotten multiple members elected to office in uphill fights. But their approach to electoral strategy is closer to GW’s than to SOR or Red Star.
nondensocialist.bsky.social
Those caucuses have also been extremely critical of Zohran’s campaign and platform.

Campaigns like Zev in Tacoma, or Abdul Osmanu in CT that were spearheaded by the ultra leftist caucuses performed poorly.

Biden’s ousting was a centrist coup, there is a reason Bernie and AOC stood by him (even if it was strategically bad for the left)

Who knew Israel was just a friend struggling with a trauma response the whole time?

Other opponents:

State Sen. Laura Fine has taken over $11,000 in donations through JAC PAC

Bruce Leon told me blocking weapons sales is "wrong."

"When you have a friend that's going through trauma, that's not the time to punish them," Leon said in a recent interview with me.

When Muhammad Yunus was appointed to lead a caretaker government in Bangladesh in 2024, it seemed that democratic restoration might begin. But as Sahasranshu Dash writes, things have quickly devolved.
Forget About It | Sahasranshu Dash
In Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus’s war on memory is steering the country into authoritarianism.

Headline is extremely misleading, he clearly has no meaningful regret or remorse towards Biden admin actions and is even vague about whether the "tragedy" he refers to is the ongoing slaughter and starvation of Palestinians or just October 7th.

On today’s Big Take podcast, former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and David Gura discuss Sullivan’s time in the Biden White House and the challenges facing the Trump Administration.

America is beautiful, contradictory, unfinished. I am proud of our country even as we constantly strive to make it better, to protect and deepen our democracy, to fulfill its promise for each and every person who calls it home.

Happy Independence Day. No Kings in America.

Black Dems are always going to be more conservative than white Dems and there is no point trying to pretend otherwise to make ourselves feel better

I'd urge people to spend at least a small amount of time learning about the historical Chicano movement and their perspectives on patriotism before jumping into this argument
