It's genuinely a leaderless (or leaderful) movement, decentralized in a way that the state is absolutely unequipped to handle. There are a few basic skills involved, and so people teach each other those skills, and people are collectively refining them.

Another question I came here with was: how effective are the whistles and honking? Does it stop abductions? And the answer is, surprisingly to my cynical self, yes, and often. I have talked to so many people who have successfully interrupted kidnappings.

It just really lays bare how lonely and self-centered fascism is that they see a community rallying not just for common defense but to meet one another's needs, with those who can provide stepping up for those who can't, and they go "what the fuck, this has to be illegal"
