Finally. Thank you for the graphic. Most of the flying public is clueless of the #NAS and stages of control/flight. I worked at ZDV (Denver Center) for 5 years. The only time we went “Dark” was during the mids to update Host computer.
The careless reporting on FAA's Denver Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) radio issue astounds me. ARTCC's are not an airport's Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) nor are they a TRACON. Not dismissing concerns; but pointing out the lack of explaining Air Traffic Control (ATC) basics. #avgeek
