increasingly have students who report relying on chatgpt to explain things to them but it's not so much them thinking it's a good teacher than they are in hugely oversubscribed courses with overstretched lecturers and tutorial groups too big to get much help in

I find it interesting how biased the British political imaginary around inequality is towards thinking in terms of fairly homogeneous blocks of space (eg areas, regions) when it's just obviously not the case, especially in London
Inexplicably, my son’s very standard state school - in a mixed area, not a particularly affluent one - arranged a £4K trip to Kenya last year. I keep meaning to do a story on the astonishing escalation of the school trip.
