Thanksgiving is problematic. Giving thanks is not. As someone who wants to remember the attempted genocide of indigenous people but also likes a reminder to practice gratitude, I like to use Indigenous People's Month to support (and be grateful for) indigenous creators. A partial list! /1

Watched My Dinner With André, which I’d never seen before. My takeaways:
-both a product of its time (1981) and even more relevant today
-I had no idea it was written by the two stars, or that they play some version of themselves
-it’s impossible to not squee when Wally drops an “inconceivable”

Over the last decade I’ve gotten pretty fed up with the faux documentary style show, because it never makes sense in the context of the show, and it’s used as a crutch to directly explain characters and tell jokes. But!

I invented this thing called The Utility Mat

It’s a silicone work mat that captures excess mixed resin and forms it into useful tools and items (Stir sticks, scrapers, spreaders etc) instead of amorphous trash. You work right on top of it
