Off to canvass for YES on #Prop50, not because this is our long-term plan, but because it’s what we must do now to keep thugs seizing our democracy.

We tried last Congress to get fair districts nationwide; GOP voted no. They want to rig elections to rule by force.

I'd love to see someone do an analysis to see if Republican Medicaid recipients in states where Medicaid isn't clearly called Medicaid (eg, Indiana's Hoosier Healthwise, or Oklahoma's SoonerCare) are more likely than their counterparts in other states to oppose funding for Medicaid.

worth remembering that hoover's administration was defined by 4 years of economic chaos, suffering, dislocation, and fear. People genuinely believed the country itself was on the verge of irreversible collapse. He still got 40% of the vote.
