This is evil. My childhood heroes, MLK & RFK, were murdered two months apart. Political violence has targeted Republicans and Democrats in recent years. Ours is a country of 400 million guns and people on the edge. We must all do what we can to defuse this tinderbox. May God save us all.
Political violence is evil. I don't care how angry you are at your opponents. We have a ballot box. We have courts. We have free speech. I'm sick with grief for Charlie and his family. I'm sick with concern for this country.

Today we learned that in June the US economy lost jobs for the first time since 2020. We haven’t seen this kind of net job loss since - well, since the last time Trump was in charge.

Even *if* you accept Stephen Miller’s (textually, historically, and morally indefensible) claim that undocumented immigrants are not entitled to due process, you’d *still* need due process to ensure that the individuals at issue are, in fact, undocumented.

This prison holds some people, including migrants, who have not been convicted of a crime, had no due process, and are imprisoned unjustly. During Holy Week, Rep. Moore will hear about another person unjustly imprisoned. The Christian response to suffering is never a "thumbs up."
