Back from watching #WakeUpDeadMan (first time I've had the opportunity to go to the cinema *and* there be something I wanted to watch on in what seems like years) and enjoyed it a lot. Daniel Craig's Foghorn Leghorn act as fun as ever but Josh Brolin might have stolen the show though.

I am so utterly over this type of political reporting. It belongs in the bin. Literally, focus on the substance!! Our lives depend on understanding the substance, not the gossip/surface.

Frankenstein movies have always left me cold and initially I thought that maybe Guillermo del Toro's new version was going to be more of the same, despite how gorgeous it all looks and the cast, however I really enjoyed the 2nd half of the movie, especially the performance of Jacob Elordi.

I suspect there's also a strong element here of far too many journalists and BBC managers spending too much time on X and getting a wholly misleading impression of how big a story the Trump edits were. They're excessively influenced by right-wing activist opinion, and particularly US opinion.
The BBC is hopeless at reporting on itself. The idea that a minor, if misleading, edit is the most serious crisis in its history is ludicrous self-absorption, even allowing for the context of a Faragite desire to break it. It's certainly not as serious as the Iraq-Gilligan crisis.

It's a great irony that Panorama accurately reporting what Trump did 5 years ago angered the UK right-wing so much that they've just forced out one of their biggest allies in the BBC... Oopsy.
