In the last 48 hours my sister went to the hospital because of a kidney stone, my friend’s 96 yo granddad passed away, and someone in my company died in a helicopter accident.

I’m far enough along in the growing out process that my hair is noticeably two different colors now, but it’s at the perfect level that when my hair is up in a messy bun, it’s right at the line between the two. My 22yo nephew asked me if I dyed my hair to look like what my natural hair actually is

I am enjoying the fact that as I get older and my art style evolves into more of a concrete (and arguably weirder/crazier) style, my family seems to accept it more for themselves. Why? I’m not gonna ask because I like it this way better 😂

AI might be able to summarize (poorly) what we currently know, but a major goal of historical research is to find the hidden surprises out there.

Not a historian but like to research. The AI might summarize what I'm looking for, but it doesn't find what I'm *not* looking for. The book on the shelf next to the one I wanted. The insight in chapter 6 based on the quote I needed from chapter 4.
