Until the end of the government shutdown, our campaign will be donating $2,500 a month to a food pantry in the Ninth District.

And to my fellow candidates, I challenge you to do the same:

My latest is a love letter to Chicago. "I see you stumbling through the stubborn, awkward rhythm of showing up, again and again. I see you fighting alongside people who sometimes frustrate and confuse you, and defending neighbors you may have never met, because you know they’re all your people."
In Chicago, We Run Toward Danger Together
"Faced with unrelenting state violence, Chicagoans have refused to be cowed," says Mariame Kaba.

The governor is bailing out a developer who donated to his campaign with conservation funds. DeSantis has been trying to gift conservation lands to developers for years, has given money to his wife's pet projects, and now this. Disgusting.
Destin, Okaloosa County, Florida

Possible governor and AG and political donor related corruption involved in bogus conservation land purchase at a super inflated price. Vote happens tomorrow.

A Fox News host has called for people to be rounded up to be put in jail for being homeless. Then, as if he were talking about euthanizing dog because the shelters are overcrowded he suggested lethal injection for homeless people. youtube.com/shorts/9mq3o...
Yes, Brian Kilmeade really said this: “Involuntary lethal injection, or something. Just kill them."

Don't ask people being detained for their name or A-number. Let them exercise their right to remain silent and don't give ICE any information about them.
If you see, interact with, or have been detained by ICE (or a local surrogate) call RAISE at 1-888-600-5762.

There is not one marginalized, racialized, or oppressed group whose oppression or destruction is an acceptable cost for saving "democracy." Not one.

If saving democracy requires leaving marginalized people behind, that's not a democracy worth saving.

Either we all get saved or none of us do.
