I agree 💯 with your sentiment, but a word of caution about Change dot org. I got a link to this 👇petition from them to create a day honoring Charlie Kirk. I asked them to stop but they sent this email again the next day. So, I deleted my account.

Most of the emails I get from @change.org are for left-leaning petitions. Not today. Instead, I got an email to sign a petition to create a National Memorial Day honoring Charlie Kirk and free speech. Really.

Another disturbing piece of data, 19 people listed under USA as country of citizenship have been arrested since August 1st according to this dashboard on Florida immigration enforcement.

According to a Florida dashboard tracking state arrests of undocumented people, under 0.5% of those have a gang affiliation, demolishing claims of going after “criminals.” They have also detained a disturbingly high number of Guatemalans and Mexicans, signaling targeting of that community.

With the upcoming protests, I just wrote to the local newspapers and news organizations asking them to report on how the local police departments are going to respond to them in light of this stupid designation.
