Memory just came crashing back to me. I once had a conversation with a senate staffer who said Chuck Schumer threw his phone out a car window, because the Senator was unhappy the staffer needed to use his phone for directions. What a coward.

Getting Maxwell to say “I never saw Donald Trump do anything concerning” is such a funny attempt at exoneration. Absolutely, everything we know about her is that she is a very bad judge of what is and what is not concerning.

During her interview with the DOJ last month, former Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell said nothing that would be harmful to President Trump, sources say.

I have a more than reasonable and probably pretentious frustration with the phrase: “Well, I didn’t have that on my BINGO card”

Does it not misunderstand the game of BINGO? Your card isn’t comprised of your predictions or the numbers you think are most likely to be called.

Someone asked recently if I ever experience inklings of what others might consider “quarter-life crisis” behavior. Giving what I believed to be an honest answer I said no.

Not two hours later, apropos of nothing at all, I found myself pricing out sailboats and marina fees in Grand Marais.

The Democratic establishment is so determined to continually lose, as long it is on their own terms.

Constantly losing at something in very public and embarrassing fashion and not being motivated to do anything differently is simply something I cannot relate to.
Hakeem Jeffries has reportedly told allies that if Zohran Mamdani wins, he can't become Speaker of the House.

Leaders like Jeffries see this fight as existential for their control of the party:

At a comedy show, Mahmoud Khalil told Zohran Mamdani, “I am excited about the possibility of raising my son in a city where you are mayor.” It was a stunning moment, Hanif Abdurraqib writes.

The new state flag is “divisive” because right-wing ideologues have spent recent years messaging about how it is another manifestation of woke culture run amok.

The idea that “better process” would have made it more palatable to these people is laughable.

Brehm: Minnesota’s new flag is ugly and divisive. It deserves another do-over.
"A state as great as ours should not settle for this mediocrity," contributing columnist Andy Brehm writes.

One of Donald Trump’s political super powers is having a completely amorphous ideology that lacks conviction for anything other than self aggrandizement.

It has allowed people to paste their own world view onto him no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary.

FROM SHAMS:

Free agent Nickeil Alexander-Walker has agreed to a four-year, $62 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks, plus a player option and trade kicker, sources tell ESPN. CAA Co-Heads of Basketball Aaron Mintz/Austin Brown and Steven Heumann reached the contract with the Hawks tonight.
