went on AO3 to see what the longest fic in the LOTR tag was. Tolkien's original trilogy has a word count of 550,147. there is a fic in the LOTR tag that has a 6.6 MILLION word count and it is STILL BEING UPDATED

Alright, valid question sent to me: how do I get my novel critiqued?

Here are some tips, not rules. Do as thou wilt.

1. Don't send your first draft to anybody. EVER.
2. See number one. I'm not kidding.
3. Develop a network of writers for mutual critique. Online groups exist for this purpose.
