As I've gotten older my hearing has deteriorated somewhat.
I have a hearing aid in one ear to boost the higher frequencies.
I often find myself saying "What?" and "Say that again" in normal conversation.
But, if music is being played (especially in a car) I'm quick to say "Turn that down ffs!"

The nice young lady drawing blood engaged me in chit-chat asking me what I did for a living.
"I'm retired from being a MRI installation engineer".

I’m quite sure Hegseth is guilty of a war crime.
Unfortunately, I’m also quite sure that Admiral Bradley (and possibly those further down the chain of command) are equally guilty.
An Admiral in his position, with his knowledge and experience would have known the order was illegal.
