These are Desert Lilies, bulb plants unique to this part of the southwestern desert. They only appear if the right conditions are met, particularly the amount of rain we get prior to Nov. We got a lot of rain at the end of the summer so I'm hoping for a good "lily" season. So far I've seen one!
